Description

On the north shore of Kauai is beautiful Hanalei. A crescent shaped white sand beach that is surrounded by majestic mountains with cascading waterfalls rings Hanalei Bay. These waterfalls provide the valley with an abundance of water to grow a majority of the Taro used to make poi. The Bay has world-class surfing breaks that can reach awesome heights during winter swells. From the eastern part of the beach your can see Makana Peak, (pictured here in this painting and more commonly referred to as “Bali Hai” from the film “South Pacific”).
